You know, I never thought I’d end up here, crazy as that sounds. I had big plans, as you know, big, big plans. Can’t help feeling all crappy with the way those plans have turned out.
Oh, this snobby lady came up to me yesterday, I was sitting where I normally do, y’know, round the corner. Bear in mind I sit there because that’s where no one goes.
Anyway, she comes up to me, moves my bag outta the way, without asking may I add, and squeezes herself next to me on the bench. Starts talking to me about the weather, classic British I know. Whilst all this she’s giving me this freakishly fake smile. I don’t respond, cos why the hell would I, I don’t know this woman.
And I know what you’re going to say, so just don’t, trust me it gets worse. So even though I ignore her, she decides to continue speaking. So, she starts telling me about this niece she’s got, chatting on about how she’s died her hair some bright colour, don’t remember what though. And then, she has this boldness to ask me, ‘how do your parents deal with it?’ now I know I don’t dress, or look the most pleasing to old people, but I mean what?
The audacity that some people have. And then she goes on to complain about the ‘youth’ and how were always stuck on out phones, not appreciating nature and whatnot. And at this point I’m just sick of her, she’s got this squeaky voice, and it just makes me wanna tear my skin off.
I wish you had been there, god, we would’ve laughed. You were always better at speaking to people than I am. God I don’t want to get all soppy with you, it just, It feels like everything has just crashed down, like everything that, everything that we had planned, its all just, been messed up.
You’re selfish, aren’t you? Leaving me just like this. It sucks because when something stupid happens, like someone messing up their words, or something like that, ill look over to you, so we can have a laugh, and you’re just, you’re not there. And I’ll come across people, who don’t know what happened, and they’ll ask me like, how you are, and I’ll have to tell them. And then they get this stupid, pitiful look, and they’ll pat me on the back. And the worst part? They get to go on, and forget about you, and I’m stuck here, talking to you like a lunatic, like you’ll actually hear me.
